Tietoa henkilöstä Grace
Here's the English version:
---
I'm Grace, originally from Nigeria and now living in Vaasa, Finland. I'm currently studying International Business (BBA) at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences (VAMK). I hold a B.Sc. in Zoology, which makes teaching Biology both natural and genuinely enjoyable for me — I can break down even complex topics in a clear, practical way.
English is a language I speak fluently, and I've been teaching and guiding children and young learners for over ten years, including experience as a nursery school teacher. This has taught me patience, clear communication, and the ability to adapt to each student's individual way of learning.
I'm reliable, organised, and genuinely invested in my students' success. What matters most to me is creating a calm, encouraging environment where a student feels safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace.

Teaching Techniques & Methods
I teach in a practical, student-centred way. In Biology, I explain concepts through concrete examples and everyday comparisons, so ideas genuinely stick instead of being memorised by rote. In English lessons, I combine speaking, listening, grammar and writing, and I encourage students to use the language actively from the very first session. I use visuals, example exercises and repetition where needed to reinforce new material.
Typical Lesson Structure
We always begin with a short recap or a conversation about the student's current level and goals. From there, we work through the new topic clearly, step by step, practising together with examples, and I finish by checking understanding through independent exercises or questions. Each lesson ends with a brief summary and a plan for the next session.
What Makes Me Different as a Teacher
I'm patient, encouraging and a good listener — with over 10 years of experience guiding children and young learners, as well as work experience as a nursery school teacher. My Biology teaching is grounded in my own B.Sc. in Zoology, so I can make the subject genuinely interesting and easy to understand. I adapt to each student's learning style and pace, and I never rush through material.
Who the Courses Are For
Lessons suit both primary and secondary school students, as well as adult learners. I welcome complete beginners and students who already have some background, regardless of level. Courses work well for exam preparation, improving grades, or learning a new topic from scratch.
