Hello, it's Meltem a.k.a Ms Melly., with 15 years of teaching students ranging from 4-60 years old. I have taught national and international students. I got my TESOL diploma in Canada and had teaching experience there as well.
I have taught several levels of English from CEFR to Exam English to people of different jobs from future pilots to English teacher. My major is in English Language and Literature from Ankara University with a pedagogical formation qualification, and I got a TESOL Diploma from KGIBC-CTC in Canada. I have taught English proficiency levels, along with General English, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, exam preparation, and English for specific purposes.
My teaching focus is based on what my student needs. Therefore, my methodology can vary from Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), task-based activities, real-life situations, and interactive speaking practices to encourage active participation and meaningful language use to specific skills, subskills or field of study like English Literature, teaching methods, business English, exam English. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning at Åbo Akademi University in Finland. This should give a hint: I love learning as much as I love teaching. Hello, it's Meltem a.k.a Ms Melly. I have always enjoyed teaching and learning with my students for 15 years. I have worked with students ranging from 4-60 years old. I have taught national and international students. I am an English teacher with 15 years of teaching experience in Turkey and international settings like Canada. My bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Ankara University, a pedagogical formation qualification, and I got a TESOL Diploma from KGIBC-CTC in Canada.
My teaching focus is based on what my student needs. My international teaching experience in Canada and having worked refugees and immigrants in Türkiye also helped me improve intercultural communicative competence.
