About me...
*Hi! My name is Lorena, I am Italian-Uruguayan and was born and raised in Uruguay. I am a native Spanish speaker, and hold a Certificate of Proficiency in English from Cambridge University. Hence, I am 100% bilingual!
*I have worked as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Católica del Uruguay since 2017, and have been working as producer and curator for different artist-run galleries and programmes –in Uruguay, Germany and Norway– since 2019.
*I graduated with a Licentiate Degree in Image and Sound Engineering from Universidad Católica del Uruguay, undertook Master of Fine Arts studies at Trondheim Academy of Fine Arts, NTNU, Norway; and recently finished my Master of Arts in Photography at Aalto University, Finland.
About my language teaching methodology and experience...
*In my experience as a language instructor, most my students have been interested in having conversational English or Spanish lessons. If this sounds like you, we would be devising a plan that adjusts to the settings and goals you have in your English learning journey –whether that is a professional journey, or is attuned to you personal life and interests. We are more likely to learn and acquire the vocabulary we put to use, let's start there! Let's get coffee and discuss things you're used to talking about or like to talk about, and see your progress skyrocket.
