Tietoa henkilöstä Axel

I am a native English speaker from the south-west of England with a neutral accent, and I was born and raised in the English countryside where I lived for 18 years. I am currently a master’s student at Aalto University and a qualified CELTA-certified English teacher with Cambridge training. I am a very active person and, outside teaching, I enjoy volleyball, jiu-jitsu, 3D printing, reading, and skiing in the winter. I bring a friendly, energetic, and professional approach to my lessons, and I enjoy helping students improve their English with confidence.

Tietoa tunnista

My lessons follow CELTA-approved techniques and are tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals, and interests. I use your personal interests to make lessons more engaging, relevant, and motivating. These 1-to-1 lessons are suitable for all levels, provided you are comfortable using only English during class. Once I understand your learning style, I adapt the lesson content and structure to help you make steady progress and grow in confidence.

I can also set homework for students who want extra practice between lessons, and I am happy to help with preparation for certain exams. Lessons can take place online, at your home, or in a public place such as a library, depending on what is easiest for you. I am generally very flexible with scheduling, so lessons can often be arranged early in the morning or later in the evening if that suits you best.

Xenia is a pleasure to teach, and a highly motivated student of English! She actively listens during our classes, and offers insightful questions and clarifications - when needed. She communicates clearly, and promptly, outside of classes, and always arrives on time for each lesson.

(S) is a polite, energetic, and genuinely fun young lady to work with. She often shares witty, thoughtful ideas about what we are learning, and she responds especially well to active, hands-on tasks that keep her engaged. At times she can be a little unsure of herself, but when she is given the time and encouragement to express her ideas, she regularly surprises me with how much she knows and how quickly she can learn.

Overall, Sophie is a pleasure to teach and shows strong potential as her confidence continues to grow.

Täydellistä! He has been absolutely amazing working with my teenage son. Axel is responsible, reliable. Beyond just teaching, he knows how to motivate and encourage. We are both extremely satisfied — both me as a mother and my son — and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to support his learning.
