I hold a Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Andrews where I read English literature. Some of my specialties lie in Medieval and Romantic Poetry, Classical Greek Literature, Comedy and Society, Twentieth Century Drama, Contemporary Fiction, Postcolonial Literature and Critical Theory.
My studies taught me to closely read texts across a range of genres and historical eras, to consider and discuss ideas, human values, and the historical forces that have helped to shape literature. I have a deep interest in a wide spectrum of literary works from Old English to Renaissance plays, contemporary poetry, and revolutionary 19th-century novels.

I help my students to closely read texts and improve their reading comprehension, grammar, reading, and writing skills as well as conversational exchanges. My classes are student-driven and solution focussed; the student can elect which aspects of their language skills they would like to focus on. I will structure the lesson accordingly so they gain the most benefit.
I am a friendly and enthusiastic person, who understands that engaging my students is key to creating a stimulating learning environment.
