I was born in lively and multicultural Trinidad
and Tobago. I’m a seasoned communicator
and project manager routinely using creative
interventions for impact. I’ve been using film
as my primary tool to inform and educate
varied international audiences about
sustainability issues for over a decade -
working with clients to create unique and
memorable campaigns. Through my work in
the non-profit sector I’ve highlighted the
importance of a clear public understanding
and vision for sustainable development in the
Caribbean.
I’ve lived and worked across North America,
the Caribbean, the UK and Europe. I enjoy
conversations about music and films the
most.

TEACHING APPROACH
My teaching is grounded in real communication, no grammar drills. Sessions are built around the situations you actually face — presentations, negotiations, written correspondence, meetings with international colleagues. The focus is the language you need to handle these scenarios with confidence.
I draw on techniques from narrative and storytelling to help learners internalise language naturally: through structure, context and meaning, rather than repetition alone. Feedback is specific and immediate, focused on what will make the biggest difference to how you come across.
TYPICAL COURSE FLOW
1. Needs assessment
An initial conversation to understand your professional context, current level, specific goals, and the situations where English may need strengthening.
2. Tailored session plan
A personalised programme built around your goals (written, spoken, or both).
3. Active, context-led sessions
Sessions use your real materials (reports, presentations, meeting scenarios) as the teaching content. Language is learned in the context you will use it.
4. Review and progress
Regular check-ins on what is improving and what still needs attention - the learning plan is adjusted according to your developing goals.

I have worked as a professional copywriter, brand strategist and communications consultant for over fifteen years across the Caribbean and internationally. I understand the registers, conventions and pressures of professional English.
An international perspective
Having worked with clients and partners across the Caribbean, Europe, North America and beyond — and currently learning Finnish as an adult — I understand the experience of navigating professional life in a language that is not your first.
