I’m currently a master’s degree student in the University of Helsinki, Finland, studying Integrative Plant Sciences master’s degree program. I have a Bachelor degree of Botany (major), Chemistry and Zoology. I have obtained second class upper division honours in my Bachelor’s degree which only very few students from a batch can achieve. I have been working as a university assistant lecturer, high school teacher and a private tutor for 14 years until today. I was and examiner who set Biology papers for high school students and who evaluated answer scripts of high school students in the major government examination held in Sri Lanka to select students to the university. Additionally I worked as a project leader to write a practical work book for Biology students in Lyceum International School in Sri Lanka.

I did private tutoring online classes through zoom for many high school students using various teaching methods specially PowerPoint presentations. I already have a bulk of study materials prepared for online classes with many papers set by me that students can practice. I assess the answer scripts in the online class with the students. I conduct both online and group classes. The medium is English therefore my classes are suitable for the students who study in English medium. I have teaching experience in many types of Biology syllabuses such as Cambridge, Edexcel, IB, etc.
