My professional background is in European higher education, university management, teaching immigrants, student affairs, careers and business consulting, new market entry and Finnish education export.
I have been living in Finland since 2007 and have traveled for academic and business purposes to over 20 countries (Austria, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia , Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the UK).
My interests and hobbies are playing online chess, website development, and social media. Forest bathing (walking in a forest). Traveling around the world. Hiking and camping.

I use a “student-centered” instructional philosophy rather than using a traditional “teacher-centered” approach to teach all my students.
In my method, I use constructive teaching approach as it is more integrative, reflective, and participatory compared to other methods.
I integrate a sociocultural and constructivist teaching process and an active learning style, as a formative instructional approach, to positively influence my students’ learning and achievements.
I also plan my lessons based on socio-constructivist teaching approach that is based on positive emotions, which promotes my student learning, and where I can support and nurture the entire learning process.
My approach not only brings excellent learning results but also promotes acquiring useful skills for life. This approach encourages learners to be active in constructing their own knowledge and collaborative in solving problems together with other learners.
Mostly, I use descriptive feedback and focus on gaps in students understanding and specifically inform my students on how they could improve their learning, rather than listing what they did wrong.
As a private teacher, I can teach courses on research methodology, international business, and English as well. My target audience are students from age 20 to 60 years old.
