My name is Arif, and I'm a 25 year old English and Spanish teacher. I'm a motivated instructor, and genuinely enjoy my job and the classes with students. I have several years of experience in the field of education, a degree on English Studies, a teaching certificate for Spanish as a Second Language and I'm in the process of writing a master's thesis on the value of Literature in English Language Teaching.
I have worked and interned in high schools as a teacher of both languages, and in private academies as an English Tutor, and coworkers and students have always been satisfied with my work ethic and results. My interests include teaching language through literature and other media, and innovative techniques like project-based learning.

I approach teaching English as a conversation between teacher and student. For it to be successful, both have to do their part. My part includes bringing the language to you, with clear explanations and engaged discussions about topics that interest you, as well as tips and tricks for both writing and pronounciation.
I instruct exclusively in English, and work with you on expanding your fluency skills -the idea is that you don't have to memorise endless lists of vocabulary: it's more useful to be able to explain your meaning.
This way of teaching is intended specifically for students with a working base in the language (such as high schoolers or adult learners), who are seeking to expand and refine their control, rather than for beginners or very small children.
Aside from this, I also offer literature-based classes. In these, the student and I come to an agreement on a book (or books) to use as a starting point for discussion and teaching, and work through it little by little.
Homework support and traditional textbook instruction is also available if you'd prefer that!
