I am a native English speaker from the United States and have been living and working in Finland since 2005. Over the years, I have built a long-term career teaching English to professionals from a wide range of industries.
I enjoy helping people become more confident in using English in real situations. For me, teaching is not just about language, but about communication—helping you express your ideas clearly, naturally, and effectively.
My teaching style is relaxed and supportive, and I focus on creating a comfortable environment where you can speak freely, ask questions, and improve without pressure. Many of my students appreciate that lessons feel natural and practical rather than overly academic.
I adapt easily to different personalities and goals, whether you want to improve your speaking, writing, or overall confidence in English.

I am a native English teacher from the United States, based in Finland since 2005, with nearly 30 years of teaching experience, including international experience in the U.S., Asia, and Europe.
My teaching focuses on practical, real-world communication, while also supporting structured language when needed. I help you use English effectively in your daily work—whether that means speaking confidently in meetings, asking clear questions, or writing emails with the right tone and nuance (formal, neutral, or informal).
I have taught over 3,000 students and delivered more than 20,000 hours of lessons, allowing me to quickly understand your needs and adapt to your goals. Many of my students work in construction, energy, technology, HR, and business, where English is a practical tool—not just a subject.
My approach is relaxed, supportive, and focused on real communication. Lessons are always tailored to your level, goals, and real-life situations. I work best with motivated learners who want to actively use English in real situations.
