I am a dedicated and passionate educator, committed to providing a transformative learning experience for all my students. With unwavering self-confidence in my teaching abilities, I have spent years honing my skills and knowledge to offer nothing but excellence in the realm of education.
As a testament to my legitimacy as an educator, I hold a combined major First Class Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and the Study of Religions from the University of Ghana, Legon, an MPhil in Intercontextual Theology from the University of Oslo and a Master's in History of Religions from the Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society. I am currently a PhD Candidate in Comparative Religion at the University of Eastern Finland. I have been teaching English and Mathematics in primary, Junior and Senior High schools. I was a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana, Legon before I moved to further my studies in Norway on a scholarship. Moreover, my journey as a teacher has been defined by a relentless pursuit of professional growth, which has led me to attend numerous workshops and seminars to stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving teaching landscape.
What truly sets me apart is my unwavering dedication to each student's success. I firmly believe in fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that empowers learners to embrace their unique strengths and overcome challenges. Total Physical Response (TPR): Engage learners through actions and gestures related to language instruction. For example, by asking learners to stand up, sit down, point, or clap in response to simple commands. TPR promotes active learning and builds vocabulary in a fun way.
Repetition and Reinforcement: Practice is key for beginners. By encouraging learners to repeat new words and phrases multiple times, both orally and in writing. I reinforce learning through quizzes, games, and short exercises.
Real-life Situations: Teach English in context by using everyday scenarios. Role-play situations like ordering food at a restaurant or asking for directions to help learners apply their language skills in practical situations.
