Hello! I am a Japanese middle school mathematics teacher with more than 13 years of teaching experience in Japan. I moved to Finland in August and am now looking for opportunities to support students online.
Mathematics is my main subject, especially for middle school students. I can also help with science, Japanese, homework, study planning, and finding learning methods that suit each student. Elementary and high school students are also welcome.
In Japan, I worked as a homeroom teacher and supported students with their studies, school life, friendships, future plans, and difficulties attending school. I always tried to listen carefully and support each student according to their individual situation.
My lessons are not only about solving problems. I can also help you find better ways to study, make a study plan, organize homework, or talk about concerns related to school and learning.
I am not fluent in English yet, so I currently use translation tools when communicating in English. I am patient and happy to take the time needed to communicate clearly.

My lessons are tailored to each student's level, goals, and learning style. I first talk with the student to understand what they need help with and what they find difficult.
For mathematics, I explain concepts step by step and use simple examples before moving on to more difficult problems. I encourage students to think for themselves rather than simply giving them the answers. When they make mistakes, we look at the reason together and find a way to understand the concept.
A typical lesson may include reviewing previous work, learning a new topic, practicing problems together, and discussing what to work on next. I can also help students organize homework, make a study plan, and find learning methods that suit them.
My main focus is middle school mathematics, but I also welcome elementary and high school students. I can additionally support students with science, Japanese, general study skills, and questions about school life.
I believe that every student learns differently. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students can ask questions freely and gradually become more confident in their learning.
