My name is Liya, and I am a classical vocalist and a graduate of Turku University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Music Pedagogy). I also graduated from the Moscow Regional College of Arts with a specialization in Classical Singing.
Throughout my career, I have participated in opera productions, including Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Snow Maiden" and the Finnish opera "Keisarin majakka" of Pauliina Isomäki, as well as numerous choir performances, concerts, and international musical projects. These experiences have given me valuable practical knowledge of vocal technique, ensemble singing, stage presence, and artistic interpretation, all of which I bring into my teaching.
Teaching is something I truly enjoy because I love seeing my students grow in confidence and discover the potential of their own voices. Every student is different, so I always adapt my lessons to their individual goals, experience, and learning style. My aim is to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and making progress without fear of making mistakes.

My teaching approach combines the strong traditions of the Russian classical vocal school with a modern European pedagogical approach, following international standards of vocal education. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student can develop their voice at their own pace. I focus on healthy vocal technique, proper breathing, articulation while helping students build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual goals, experience, and vocal abilities. A typical lesson includes a vocal warm-up, breathing exercises, technical vocal exercises, and work on repertoire. In addition to vocal training, students gain a solid understanding of music theory, music history, ear training, style, and interpretation, helping them become well-rounded and independent musicians. I also help students improve their stage presence, diction, and performance skills.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced singers, as well as students preparing for entrance exams, performances, auditions, or simply wishing to improve their singing for personal enjoyment.
