I was born in Porto in 1999. Throughout my life, I have fallen in love with the arts and literature, allowing myself to be awakened and shaped by artistic curiosity and sensitivity, both at home and abroad.
I began my musical studies in Vila Nova de Gaia and attended the Espinho Professional School of Music. I graduated from the Sibelius Academy, a Master of Music program (Finland), with Professor Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch, with whom I also studied baroque violin. I have a Master's degree in Music Education from the University of Aveiro, under the guidance of Professors Nuno Soares and Jorge Castro Ribeiro. I have worked in various contexts with renowned educators and performers, including Andreas Janke, Anna Gebert, Bartek Niziol, Christoph Poppen, Dora Schwarzberg, Elina Vähäla, Felix Andrievsky, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Levon Chilingirian, Marco Rizzi, Mihaela Martin, Michael Vaiman, Minna Pensola, and Teemu Kupiainen. I have won awards in several national competitions, including the Paços Premium Competition, the International City of Fundão Competition, the City of Porto Competition, and the National City of Montijo Competition. I am the winner of the 2019 Frederico de Freitas/University of Aveiro Performance Award and the 2022 Artur Fernandes Fão International String Competition.
In the orchestral context, I have collaborated with internationally renowned conductors such as Sakari Oramo, Nuno Coelho, Hannu Lintu, Masaaki Suzuki, Osmo Vänskä, Dalia Stasevska, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Nil Venditti, Jorma Panula, among others. I am a regular guest of the Espinho Classical Orchestra, the Beiras Philharmonic Orchestra, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lahti Sinfonia, the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra, and the NYKY Ensemble. I am passionate about the close collaboration between performer and composer, and about improvisation as a pedagogical tool. I am active as a chamber musician, involved in several projects with different groups, including the duo with harpist Lara Fonseca and the piano trio with pianist Bernardo Santos and cellist Burak Özkan. The latter group released the first recording of Berta Alves de Sousa's trio in 2024, for the University of Aveiro. In Finland, I am a member of the Kairos String Trio, with Katrīna Pelnēna (viola) and Auroora Perttunen (cello).
I performed solo with the DeCA String Orchestra in November 2021, as part of the Autumn Festivals in Aveiro. In the same city, in June 2022, I performed Dmitri Shostakovich's Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra, under the baton of Ernst Schelle, with the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras and the Symphony Orchestra of the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro. In June 2025, I will perform again with the Filarmonia das Beiras, performing Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1.
I have participated in international festivals such as the New Virtuosi Mastercourse 2016 (United Kingdom); the Kronberg Academy Violin Masterclasses (Germany) in 2017; Marvão Academy (Portalegre) in 2021; Ticino Musica 2021 (Lugano, Switzerland); and the Remix Academy in 2021 (Porto).
I have also developed two distinct projects with a community and educational focus: Falar Verdade a Tocar, designed to raise awareness among instrumentalists about the applicability of the foundations of dramatic practice in musical performance; and (OU)VISTE ISTO?, implemented in Marvão and aimed at children, in collaboration with Orquestra Sem Fronteiras and with the support of BPI | La Caixa Foundation, which aimed to create a community collection of plastic memories based on contact with music from different genres and eras.

Tutoring tailored to different levels and objectives, from beginners to students preparing for university entrance exams or public exams. I focus on student well-being and strategies that promote creativity and self-regulation. Tutoring is tailored to each individual case, continuously stimulating the student's cognitive and technical development, and is suitable for all ages.
My principles for musical learning are primarily guided by the methodologies of Kodály, Suzuki, and Edwin Gordon. I incorporate improvisation and critical reflection sessions along the way, encouraging gradual student autonomy.
