I'm passionate about learning and teaching languages and have lived and taught in Finland, France, Spain, US, and China since I graduated as a language teacher from the university of Helsinki in 2016. I have been teaching Finnish (mostly), English and French full time online for almost four years now.

I've been teaching Finnish online full time for almost four years now. I have students from all over the world although many of them live and work in Finland. My students range from total beginners to advanced. I adapt my teaching style and methods to your needs and wishes to help you attain your goals.
This is a review from one of my former students:
"Maria has taught me Finnish for almost 2 years! I struggle with learning correct grammar in general and Finnish is particularly hard on that front. Maria went with me at my pace through the first teaching book and helped me learn the basics and then when I stopped being able to do homework or more typical lessons because of my job, she was super helpful in switching over to a more conversational lesson type which helped me improve my ability to talk to people in everyday life. She is a kind, caring, and well-traveled teacher who is patient with students and helped me feel more at home and able to navigate Finnish culture and the language when I moved to Helsinki from the U.S. I could not recommend her more!"
If you need help to prepare for YKI test, I will guide you through the process with test-like materials, providing you feedback, advice and examples of good answers. Depending on your background, we will emphasize different aspects of the test: reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking. Here's what another student of mine wrote to me after passing the YKI test:
"I'm very thankful for all your help! I feel everything went according to plan, and I'm very happy about that. "
I have also helped many students to write a CV in Finnish and prepped them for job interviews.
In addition to English and Finnish, I can teach you in French or Spanish if necessary.
