Flute and Piccolo Teacher / Music Educator
Motivated and responsible flute player and music educator based in Turku. I have a classical music background and experience teaching students of different ages and levels.
I have experience teaching individual flute lessons and working with very young children, teenagers and adults. I work both with complete beginners who have no previous musical education and with students who are preparing for entrance examinations to specialised music schools, colleges and other serious music education programmes.
I adapt lessons to each student’s age, level, interests and goals. In addition to flute playing, I have a strong knowledge of solfège, music theory and ear training, which I can explain clearly and incorporate into lessons according to the student’s needs. This can be especially useful for students preparing for auditions or entrance examinations.
My aim is to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere where students can learn, improve their skills and enjoy playing music.
I am available for lessons at my location in Turku as well as home visits to students, depending on the location.
I also have experience performing in orchestras and different musical ensembles, which has helped me develop strong teamwork, communication and musical collaboration skills.

Education:
Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku AMK) — Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Musiikkipedagogi, 4th year
Modest Mussorgsky College of Music, Saint Petersburg — Music Education / Flute, graduated with honours
Skills:
Flute teaching and performance, as well as piccolo and recorder
Teaching children, teenagers and adults
Teaching complete beginners with no previous musical background
Preparation for entrance examinations to music schools and higher music education
Solfège and ear training
Music theory
Patient and supportive approach
Good communication skills
Orchestra and ensemble experience
