Tietoa henkilöstä Akshaya
Teaching is a life-long process of learning new ideas, strategies and philosophies. Teaching should be unique, which provides a competitive educational environment. My passion in teaching is to provide academic excellence in the field of specialization that brings about the full potential of the student. Aim of my teaching is to provide an atmosphere where the students will be given chance equally to share their ideas and use all the possible new teaching technologies. I will create a conducive teaching environment to foster highest level of academic achievement at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My teaching environment will include hands on learning, co-operative learning, group project, discussion based on themes that leads to active student learning. The students will also be introduced with community-based learning. As a teacher, I will enable the students to develop as an intellectually mature, morally upright and socially responsible candidate. I wish to be a facilitator rather than a teacher. My research experience will also help me to direct mentoring and supervising the research and scientific developments with international collaboration in the field of Biotechnology.

The unique teaching methods adopted should help develop the students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Google classroom, Moodle classroom, sisu are the online teaching portals where the study materials has been uploaded for the students to use before, during and after classes. Course specific web based online digitalized material has also been made available online. The students can express their views and discussions on a particular topic in the forum. E-books, videos of classroom activities, worksheets, activity sheets, discussions, submission of assignments, grades and marks were made available to the students. The student can clarify the concepts and online test has been given in this platform to check their level of understanding. Flipped classroom offers the learner a greater freedom of expression and transparency.
