I have over 10years of experience in childcare, having worked in various international daycares around Finland and opening my very own small daycare in Helsinki.
My childcare approach has always been based on Magda Gerber's Educaring Approach, a.k.a RIE. Coincidentally, the Finnish early childhood education and care curriculum is based on the educare-model. I started practicing the Educaring Approach since 2015, attended a 60h-intensive course in America, did a 1-year practicum alongside my daycare, and then a year of internship giving lectures and seminars about the Educaring Approach to professionals and parents alike around the world.
I became the first and only certified educarer in whole of Scandinavia and Finland.
Since becoming a certified educarer, I have continued to give seminars to ECEC students in different parts of the world. I have also offered parent coaching to new parents who are interested in a more gentle and respectful way of parenting. My daycare in Helsinki is still operating and the parents of our little tots have been very grateful for getting some guidance from us.

I offer childcare consulting for those aspiring to be a RIE-inspired babysitter/nanny, as well as parent coaching to new parents (and even to grandparents) who want to learn more about gentle and respectful parenting.
WHAT PARENTING TIPS CAN YOU GET FROM OUR LESSONS?

• how to provide uninterrupted play
• silent observation - learning your baby's cues
• selective intervention - learning when and how to intervene
• sportscasting - creating awareness for your baby

emotionally nurturing
• how to set clearly defined limits and boundaries to develop discipline

- Topics are intended to assist nannies / babysitters in providing more efficient and
enjoyable care for the children they care for. These topics include:
• Diapering, dressing, and feeding with respect
• Creating safe places for play and learning
• The babysitter’s role in play
• Setting appropriate boundaries
