I’m Omar, a medical doctor and infectious-disease epidemiologist with over 20 years’ experience across clinical medicine, academia, international NGOs, and the pharmaceutical industry. My research experience focuses on observational study design, implementation, and reporting.
Over the years, I’ve developed deep expertise in scientific reasoning and inference, with advanced skills spanning research question formulation, study protocols, research plans, academic dissertations, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.

I put the student’s goals first: you define the primary objectives of your lessons, including preferred references, exam preparation, or specific topics you want to tackle. Together, we co-draft a tailored lesson plan, incorporating additional readings and resources as needed.
Practice on real-world cases is central, and I like to use audio-visual aids to help students grasp complex concepts. Lesson duration is flexible, depending on topic complexity and your engagement. My teaching is interactive, evidence-based, and highly personalised, ensuring every session leaves you with practical understanding and applicable skills.
A typical lesson plan
- Review student’s objectives and references.
- Present clear learning goals for the session.
- Explain concepts using plain language, examples from research or clinical practice, and audio-visual aids.
- Guided practice through exercises, mini-cases, or data interpretation.
- Feedback, discussion, and clarification.
- Summary, take-home tasks, and optional further readings.
