Experience / Qualifications
Diogo's performances have taken place in many venues such as the Philharmonie of Essen, OrchesterZentrum Dortmund, Music Center Helsinki, Turku Castle, Liceu Auditorium Barcelona, Casa da Música do Porto, and many more.
Diogo's recognition includes prizes in some international competitions and the recent recognition at the 2022 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy competition for Contemporary Ensembles and the recent participation at the prestigious Josip Nochta Competition in Zagreb, Croatia.

Come learn the saxophone with me. I still have a few spots available starting in August. I teach all saxophones (Alto, Tenor, Soprano and Baritone) and ensemble playing in Portuguese, Spanish, English and German.
No previous experience required, just the love for music and excitement! Feel free to ask me any questions.
I am a curious musician, being part of different projects such as the Kaamos Duo (contemporary music for saxophone and soprano singer), chamber music with pianist Lambis Pavlou and Cantus Portugueses (traditional portuguese music with a modern twist). I also play as a member of the contemporary music groups Korvat Auki and the Nyky Ensemble.
My main musical interests at the moment are the collaboration with living composers, chamber music with different ensembles and interdisciplinary improvisation.
