With my preplanned teaching modules, you will learn to create WordPress site from scratch. Each module will take around 2 to 4 four hours and we can edit them to each client's liking and experience with WordPress.
Module 1: Introduction to WordPress
Objectives: Understand what WordPress is and why it's used widely for building websites.
Skills Learned: Overview of WordPress, its history, and its role in website development.
Project: Sign up for WordPress and explore the WordPress Dashboard.
Module 2: Setting Up Your WordPress Site
Objectives: Learn how to configure your WordPress installation and understand hosting basics.
Skills Learned: Domain registration, choosing a hosting provider, installing WordPress.
Project: Install WordPress on your host and set up a basic configuration.
Module 3: Themes and Plugins
Objectives: Understand how to enhance your site with themes and plugins.
Skills Learned: Installing and customizing themes, finding and installing plugins.
Project: Choose a theme, install it, and customize your site’s appearance; install essential plugins.
Module 4: Creating Content in WordPress
Objectives: Learn how to create and manage content using posts and pages.
Skills Learned: Creating posts and pages, adding images and videos, formatting content.
Project: Create your first blog post and a page, incorporate multimedia elements.
Module 5: Managing WordPress
Objectives: Learn how to manage your site effectively.
Skills Learned: Updating WordPress, managing users, setting up backups, basic SEO.
Project: Perform a WordPress update, back up your site, optimize a post for SEO.
Module 6: Final Project
Project: Develop a complete WordPress site incorporating all the elements learned throughout the course. The site should include a homepage, a blog section, a contact form, custom themes, and essential plugins.
Through this course, beginners will gain a solid foundation in WordPress, capable of setting up and managing their own sites with confidence. They will finish with a comprehensive project that showcases all the skills they've acquired.
