Playing the clarinet is hard! It requires many hours of meticulous and seemingly exhausting practice. My approach has always been to turn practice into a game. I believe that practice, at any level, can be transformed into something enjoyable, and my experience shows that if you have fun while practice, you focus better and learn more quickly.
My goal during the lessons is to find a way to make whatever you want to practice enjoyable, while also helping you become more familiar with the instrument from both a technical and musical perspective.
My background is primarily in classical music, but for many years I have been involved with jazz, Klezmer, Balkan music, and Choro. I can provide a solid foundation in these styles.
