My Approach as a Private Piano Tutor
As a private tutor, I focus on making music both accessible and enjoyable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching techniques to match their goals, pace, and personality.
Teaching techniques and methods
I combine traditional piano methods (such as scales, sight-reading, and hand coordination) with creative exercises, ear training, and music games. For more advanced students, I also include interpretation, performance practice, and music theory to build a deeper understanding of the pieces they play.
Typical course flow
Each lesson begins with a warm-up and technical exercises to strengthen finger technique and rhythm. We then move into repertoire practice, where students work on pieces suited to their level and interests. Finally, we close with a short creative activity—such as improvisation, duet playing, or a fun challenge—to keep motivation high.
Special features as a teacher
I bring 5 years of teaching experience, a patient and supportive personality, and a passion for helping students discover their own musical voice. I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn, not setbacks.
